Job summary

Arthur D. Little's SPACE team seeks a Consultant - Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work with clients, translating business problems into robust AI solutions and prototypes.

This role blends coding with client-facing delivery, enabling rapid prototyping, scalable production deployment, and integration with enterprise data, applications and workflows to deliver real value. Qualifications

• 2–5 years of AI/ML, software engineering or data science with hands-on AI deployment.
• Hands-on builder with experience developing AI or ML solutions.
• Prototype-to-production capability to turn ideas into scalable solutions.
• Experience with large language models, AI agents, retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Strong Python, APIs, cloud, testing, version control and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into technical AI solutions with clients.
• Rapidly prototype AI/ML applications to test feasibility and value.
• Move prototypes into production with scalable engineering practices.
• Design, deploy AI solutions using LLMs, agents, RAG and ML.
• Integrate AI with enterprise data, applications, workflows and environments.
• Evaluate models by performance, cost, reliability and business requirements.
• Collaborate with ADL colleagues, client teams and partners.
• Communicate approaches, trade-offs, results to technical and business audiences.
