Job summary

Arthur D. Little is seeking a Consultant - Forward Deployed AI Engineer for the SPACE team in Boston or New York City. This hands-on role combines strong engineering with direct client engagement to rapidly prototype AI solutions and scale them to enterprise production.

You will prototype and deploy AI applications using generative AI, agents, RAG, and ML, integrating with enterprise data and systems while communicating outcomes to technical and business audiences.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on AI/ML, software engineering, or data science experience with demonstrated deployments.
• Hands-on builder who can move from idea to working prototype to scalable production.
• Experience with modern AI tech: LLMs, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and ML.
• Strong Python, APIs, integration, testing, cloud deployment, and monitoring fundamentals.
• Ability to work directly with clients, ask the right questions, and explain complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Translate client business problems into technical AI solutions and roadmaps.
• Rapidly prototype AI/ML applications to test feasibility and value.
• Move successful prototypes into production with scalable engineering practices.
• Design and deploy AI solutions using LLMs, agents, RAG, and related tech.
• Integrate AI workflows with enterprise data, apps, and environments.
• Evaluate models and architectures for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with ADL teams, clients, and partners; communicate results clearly.
