Job summary

Esri is seeking a Web Developer to craft clean, performant, and accessible user interfaces for ArcGIS Enterprise. You will collaborate with a global team to design, build, and deliver features that empower users to explore and apply web GIS capabilities.

The role emphasizes modernization of legacy Dojo code and supporting React/Preact/Stencil.js transitions, with strong emphasis on collaboration and quality software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or related field.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of core JavaScript/TypeScript and OO JavaScript is required.
• Experience with UI frameworks/libraries such as React, Vue, Angular, jQuery, Dojo, etc.
• Experience with HTML, DOM, CSS, AJAX, JSON, REST, and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Envision, design, and develop maintainable web applications and UI modules for large-scale deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-focused features and workflows.
• Prototype web applications to showcase concepts and ideas.
• Drive REST API design for backend integration.
• Ensure UI accessibility (WCAG/ARIA) and internationalization standards.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Tackle legacy Dojo code while supporting modernization with React/Preact/Stencil.js.
