Munich Re is seeking an experienced frontend leader to architect and deliver scalable, cloud‑native web applications. The role centers on TypeScript, React, and building a shared frontend platform used across multiple applications, including design systems and authentication infrastructure.

You will mentor teams, drive performance, and collaborate with product, data science, and platform engineering to translate business goals into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of full‑stack applications with frontend focus (TypeScript, React).
• Drive design evolution of scalable visual rule‑authoring platform and underwriting workbench for life insurance underwriting.
• Define and own shared frontend platform capabilities including design systems, authentication, multi‑tenancy, state management, and data access.
