Job summary

Meltwater is seeking a frontend engineering leader to drive the development and evolution of our frontend platform. You will own delivery, quality, and long-term architectural direction across UI, partnering with design systems and performance initiatives.

You will guide a team of frontend engineers, shape product direction with cross‑functional partners, and ensure scalable, accessible, data‑heavy interfaces at scale. This role blends hands‑on engineering with strategic leadership.

Qualifications

• Expertise in React and TypeScript at scale.
• Proven experience leading frontend teams or as technical lead on complex systems.
• Track record delivering large-scale, production-critical frontend systems.
• Experience driving cross-team initiatives (design systems, performance).
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and scalability challenges.
• Experience integrating GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Exceptional debugging across browser, performance, and production.
• Ownership of codebase health, reliability, and standards.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Strong communication to influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a frontend team, owning delivery and technical direction.
• Own complex frontend systems end-to-end from design to production health.
• Drive org-wide frontend initiatives like design systems and performance.
• Define and evolve frontend architecture to support scale and iteration.
• Establish high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.

• Partner with design, backend, and AI/ML teams to shape product direction.
