Milliman IntelliScript is seeking a Software Engineer II/III to drive frontend-focused development and modernize AWS-based services. You will join a fast-moving Insurtech team delivering high-quality client solutions, collaborate across engineers and stakeholders, and contribute to code quality, tests, and deployments.

The role emphasizes React/TypeScript, .NET 8 backends, BFF APIs, and AWS, with opportunities to mentor teammates and progress in a dynamic environment open to remote work with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript for modern application development.
• Experience developing or supporting backend services and BFF APIs using C# (.NET 8) and SQL.
• Cloud development experience with AWS.
• Understanding of DevOps best practices using GitHub and Terraform.
• Understanding of Agile practices (e.g. Scrum).
• Experience with full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and improve software and other technical solutions that solve business challenges.
• Develop and maintain modern front-end applications and supporting backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs and service integrations.
• Play a key role in redesigning our monolithic legacy products in AWS.
• Champion AWS best practices.
• Mentor team members on software engineering best practices.
• Focus on overall product quality.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Support code deployments.
