Milliman IntelliScript seeks a Software Engineer III/II to shape innovative Insurtech solutions. You will join the Customer Experience team to build and modernize product offerings based on market needs, delivering high-quality software to clients.

This role emphasizes front-end work with BFF APIs, AWS, and DevOps, requiring collaboration across engineers and stakeholders to scale products while ensuring compliance and value for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript for modern application development.
• Experience developing or supporting backend services and BFF APIs using C# (.NET 8) and SQL.
• Cloud development experience with AWS.
• Understanding of DevOps best practices using GitHub and Terraform.
• Understanding of Agile practices (e.g. Scrum).
• Experience with full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience with domain driven design and microservice architecture.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and testable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and improve software solutions.
• Develop front-end applications and BFF APIs and service integrations.
• Redesign monolithic legacy products in AWS.
• Champion AWS best practices and DevOps.
• Mentor teammates on engineering best practices.
• Focus on overall product quality and testing.
• Self-manage workload and meet sprint goals.
• Contribute to code reviews and deployments.
