Milliman, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer III/II to help shape innovative Insurtech solutions. You will build modern front-end apps and BFF APIs, while contributing across the stack in AWS, driving quality and collaboration across engineers and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes prescription health and medical record ordering tech, promoting fast modernization, testable code, and scalable product delivery for clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript for modern app development.
• Experience with C# (.NET 8) and SQL for backend services and BFF APIs.
• Cloud development experience with AWS.
• DevOps practices using GitHub and Terraform; Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience with full SDLC, system design, debugging and testability.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and improve software to solve business challenges.
• Develop modern front-end apps and BFF APIs with service integrations.
• Contribute to redesigning monolithic products in AWS and champion AWS best practices.
• Mentor teammates on engineering best practices and testability.
• Develop unit and integration tests and support deployments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet sprint goals and quality standards.
