Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company hiring engineers to build the frontend experience across mobile and web surfaces. You will work with product, design and analytics to ship web apps using React or Vue, and mobile apps with React Native, while designing robust APIs.

The role emphasizes ownership, code reviews, and strong communication within a global team. This position supports diverse offices within the US, with a focus on responsible, scalable software and a collaborative interviewing process

Qualifications

Must have experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native or native/cross‑platform tech.
Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python is a plus.
Strong problem solving, maintainable code and ability to work across a large code base.

Responsibilities

Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with timely coordination.
Collaborate with product, design and analytics to align on constraints and decisions.
Maintain and monitor team artifacts, metrics, and on-call readiness for reliability.
Participate in interview process to grow the team and share knowledge.
