Job summary

Affirm is hiring frontend/backend engineers to ship web apps with React or Vue, and mobile apps with React Native. You’ll design and deploy APIs using Kotlin or Python, break down complex problems, and own code quality across a large codebase.

This remote-first role emphasizes collaboration with product, design and analytics, plus on-call participation and continuous growth within a high-performance engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using React Native or similar.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
• Ability take simple problems to multi-component solutions with clear, testable code.
• Strong debugging, code reviews, and collaboration across teams.
• Proactive in seeking feedback and owning personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with teammates.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics to align on technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts; monitor metrics and participate in on-call efforts.
