Job summary

CIBC is seeking an Application Support Consultant to join the Capital Markets Technology group in New York. You will support and improve production applications used by traders, collaborating with analysts and developers to fix issues and deploy enhancements in a hybrid work setup with on-site and remote days.

The role requires 3–5 years supporting front-office trading apps, strong troubleshooting, and experience with Bloomberg TOMS or Broadway, Unix, and SQL.

Qualifications

3–5 years supporting a Front Office Trading Application, with direct trader interaction.
Strong troubleshooting abilities, reading server logs, and problem resolution.
Experience with Bloomberg TOMS or Broadway and Unix.
Proficient in SQL for ad-hoc reports.

Responsibilities

Identify and resolve high to critically complex production problems for support of applications.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers on bug fixes and new product releases.
Establish and nurture relationships with the line of business and external vendors to restore service during outages.
Monitor and analyze services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
