Job Overview

The Front Office Supervisor must possess strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills. They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming basic management responsibilities. This role leads other associates by coaching, giving direction, and may include training and scheduling. Additionally, Front Office Supervisors lead the agents responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role offers opportunities for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include:

  • Processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquiries.
  • Maintaining complete knowledge and ensuring compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Performing all Front Office related tasks.
  • Having thorough knowledge of products, including room types, amenities, services, and brand standards.
  • Acting as manager on duty for the hotel and managing front desk operations when needed.
  • Meeting or exceeding hotel guest satisfaction measures.
  • Other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of Front Office experience in a lifestyle or boutique hotel preferred.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, including night audit if needed.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in anticipating guest needs to provide VIP experiences.
  • Familiarity with computer systems including Outlook, Outlook 365, Word, and Excel.
