Job Description

The role of the Front Office Supervisor is to work in Front Desk and Guest Services areas to ensure all Omni policies, procedures, and standards are met as well as train, develop and motivate staff.

Salary for this position: $27.95/hour

Upon meeting eligibility requirements, Full Time Associates at Omni Chicago Hotel are entitled to benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Maternity Leave, Pre-Tax Commuter Program, 401k, and paid holidays and leave accruals.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand all check-in policies and procedures.
  • Experience with various guest scenarios.
  • Familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk.
  • Knowledge of all hotel facilities and offerings.
  • Understand the influence and importance of all departments on the Front Desk.
  • Train new associates.
  • Be familiar with shift checklists and run the desk in the absence of the Manager.
  • Perform rooms control duties.
  • Broad knowledge of Opera, Synergy, and Key Card systems.
  • Familiar with all reservation special packages.
  • Understand all radio codes and emergency procedures.
  • Responsible for covering MOD shifts.

Qualifications

  • High propensity for customer service.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Previous front desk experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • May require overnight shifts.
  • Willingness to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, carry up to 50 lbs without assistance.
