Job summary

Nationwide Vision is seeking a Front Office Specialist in Queen Creek, AZ. You will be the first contact, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience while handling essential administrative duties that ensure smooth check-in and check-out for patients.

The role requires strong customer service with medical office exposure, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package are offered in a dynamic ophthalmology setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; previous optometry and/or ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency at all times with consideration to the patient's time, as well as doctor's time and schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and build accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow in the office and ensure communication to maximize efficiency and customer service.
