Location: Queen City Physicians University Station

Job Overview

This position is responsible for answering, handling, and screening incoming telephone calls; greeting and registering patients; filing and preparing charts. Additionally, it handles check-out functions, including reviewing encounter form data, collecting co-payments, scheduling follow-up appointments, completing daily bank deposits, and performing day-end reconciliation duties. Some locations may also require completing charge/receipt-entry and charge-receipt summaries for all office-related services.

  • 3-4 years of experience in a related field (Required)
Job Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming telephone lines and handle/distribute calls.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and take initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments.
  • Schedule patient appointments and inform the department of issues.
  • Accurately input and update patient registration, insurance, and demographic information.
  • Accept payments and log them appropriately.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and respect towards families, community professionals, office personnel, and team members. Follow JCAHO and HIPAA protocols; access to patient information will be limited to what is necessary.
  • Handle patient complaints and refer to manager as appropriate.

Includes various physical activities and sensory requirements such as hearing, reading, sitting, standing, and using hands, with specified frequencies and durations.
