Variable-Part Time (less than 19 hrs./week)

The Front Office Receptionist will handle patient registration, verify insurance, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries via phone or in person
  • Register patients in the Practice Management System (EMR)
  • Identify patients, create new accounts if necessary
  • Prepare patient paperwork prior to appointments
  • Reschedule no-shows, notify patients as needed
  • Schedule appointments, assist patients with questions, ensure smooth operations
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations
  • Update patient information in EMR
  • Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations if needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Record financial transactions, collect copays and balances
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Follow policies and report changes
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Answer phones courteously and professionally
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 1 year customer service experience in healthcare preferred
