Job Summary

The Front Office Receptionist will handle patient registration, verify insurance, and provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff, following established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and note patient arrivals in the EMR system.
  • Identify patients, create new accounts if needed, and prepare paperwork for appointments.
  • Reschedule no-shows, update patient information, and ensure accurate records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and authorizations, and handle financial transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized reception area and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Follow policies, contribute to team efforts, and demonstrate superior customer service.
  • Answer phones professionally and communicate courteously with all parties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
