Job summary

Flagstaff Bone and Joint in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a full-time Front Desk/Medical Office Clerk to welcome patients, check in/out, and register in the EMR system. The role requires exceptional customer service and a patient-centered approach across a fast-paced practice.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 8–5, on-site. Pay ranges from $18.75 to $21 per hour and includes PTO and benefits; prior billing/insurance verification experience is a plus, and teamwork is essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hrs/week).
• Experience in medical office billing/insurance verification preferred.
• Patient-centered approach and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet patients with excellent customer service.
• Check patients in and out of appointments.
• Register patients into the computer EMR system.
• Collect co-pays and other payments.
• Verify insurance, demographic, and referral information.
• Maintain and update physician schedules and confirm appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments for a very busy 20-provider practice.
• Assist with and/or relay patient requests/questions to MA or other clinical staff.
• Perform various admin duties such as processing medical records, sorting faxes, referrals, scheduling depositions, and managing messages from patients.
• Other projects/duties as directed
• Serve as an advocate for FBJ's service promise to provide an exceptional patient experience.

• Maintain and update current information on physician’s schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly, and appointments are confirmed.


• Review and monitor clinic/provider schedules often to verify accuracy.

• Assist with and/or relay patient requests/questions to MA or other clinical staff.


• Perform various admin duties such as processing medical records, sorting faxes, referrals, scheduling depositions, and managing messages from patients.
