Job summary

OrthoArizona is hiring a Medical Receptionist to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. The role supports patient access, scheduling, and front-desk operations in a fast-growing orthopedic practice.

You’ll be part of a large network of specialists, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401k. Expect a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of computer programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/perform training on practice management software and keep it up to date.
• Minimum one year of medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a prompt, courteous manner and route calls; document in EMR.
• Index patient documents to the correct chart.
• Route electronic faxes to the correct location or upload to the patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
• All other duties as assigned.

• As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:
• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

• At least one year of medical office experience
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
