Description

POSITION PURPOSE

Seeking proactive, leadership-minded Front Office Manager to oversee and support the front office department, ensuring compliance with operating procedures and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting front desk staff with the registration process, managing guest data, and ensuring smooth guest flow. Act as Manager on Duty occasionally and respond to emergency codes.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

  1. Greet guests warmly and promptly, using a positive tone, addressing by name, and providing accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  2. Confirm room rates discreetly, assign rooms based on guest preferences, and handle reservation and check-in procedures efficiently.
  3. Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle various payment methods, and perform accurate arithmetic functions for billing and balancing.
  4. Answer phone calls promptly, deliver messages accurately, and manage guest requests such as mail and packages.
  5. Process check-outs, handle guest feedback, and negotiate resolutions when necessary.
  6. Maintain composure during busy periods or emergencies, ensuring guest safety and service quality.
  7. Manage wake-up calls accurately and deliver excellent customer service.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Supportive Functions

Assist with guest assistance, safety deposit procedures, faxing, copying, filing, and other tasks as needed, including cross-training staff and reporting suspicious activities.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess:

  • Strong skills in calculator use and mathematical accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to read English sufficiently for operational tasks.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer system input and observation skills for emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

Benefits include: 401(k), dental insurance, employee discount, health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance.

Schedule includes: 8-hour shifts, evening, morning, night, overnight shifts, holidays, weekends as needed.
