Job description

Hotel Lucine is here to usher in a new generation of hospitality in Galveston. This property is more than a hotel, it's an evolving house party for residents and guests of the island who embrace Galveston’s gracious and peculiar soul.

Position Overview

The leader in this position has a magical balance of analysis and exuberance. Come as you are, but know who WE are. Leading the front office team, supporting the Rooms Division overall, and helping set the course and agenda for how we bring our promises to our guests to life.

This role will truly have an opportunity to shape the role, with authenticity and Galveston's hospitality at the forefront.

Responsibilities
  1. Hands-on operation of the Front Desk, including checking in, checking out guests, responding to guest needs, setting up VIP amenities, and communicating needs within the department and across departments.
  2. Creating schedules, understanding and leveraging the budget, and identifying enhancements for the Guest Experience.
  3. Monitoring business levels, weighing in on pricing strategy, minimum night stays, and opportunities for incremental revenues.
  4. Engage with the overall operation—setting up yoga mats on the roof, fulfilling rider requests for bands, running drinks, or clearing plates during busy restaurant times. We are a team that takes care of one another.
  5. Constantly train, teach, and learn to improve our service and operations.
Qualifications
  1. 2 years of hotel management experience.
  2. 4+ years of progressive roles in hospitality.
  3. TABC and Food Handler's Certificates are a plus.
  4. Flexible schedule is a must.
Compensation

$47,000 - $52,000 annually.
