Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office required.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; proficiency with computer systems; Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules new patients, referrals and returning patients in the computer system per guidelines.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorization and referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Arranges for financial counseling as needed.
• Greet patients and visitors; audit forms and IDs; update demographics and referrals.
• Support document control by scanning and attaching documents to EMR.
• Answer calls and route appropriately.
