RESPONSIBLE FOR: Under the general supervision of the Practice Manager or Front Office Supervisor, assists with planning, scheduling, and coordinating front office staff activities in patient registration, scheduling, and insurance information collection in a physician's practice. Duties require considerable judgment in applying established office practices and procedures. Serves as a role model through leadership skills and knowledge sharing. Acts as a preceptor for new non-clinical staff.
Minimum Education Required: Associate degree in a related field with two years of related experience, or High School diploma (GED) with four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience Required: Same as above.
Minimum Licensure/Certification: None required by law.
Additional Qualifications: Above-average data entry skills; coder certification is desirable.
