Job Summary

Come join our winning Team! We are seeking energetic, experienced and qualified individuals for our Cartersville location. Responsibilities include patient care, ensuring that all assigned duties are executed in an efficient and professional manner, checking in patients, verifying appointments, sending appointment reminders and preparing charts for the following day.

Essential Clinic Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities - Clinic

  1. Warmly greets patients coming into Clinic
  2. Prints all patient charts for next day
  3. Changes patient status to “Arrived” on schedule once they sign in
  4. Asks for ID and Insurance card verification from each new patient and once a year
  5. Ensures accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information in EMR
  6. Inputs ALL information from new patient packets into patient demographics
  7. Assists in answering phones
  8. Provides patient with directions and answers patient questions as able
  9. Calls to confirm next day appointments
  10. Schedules patient clinic appointments as requested
  11. Collects co-pays and balances as directed by Financial Counselor and “Co-Pay Sheet”
  12. Adheres to Front Office Policies and Procedures
  13. Assists in Scanning if needed
  14. Ensures insurance selection in EMR matches the Payor ID on insurance cards
  15. Verify that each patient has received their daily appointment reminder
  16. Chart Preparation: Prepare the clinic chart for each patient for the following day by making sure each packet contains the following: check-in packet, MRI, last office note, last UDS results and the patient’s medical summary
Education/Experience/Skills/Certifications

High School diploma or GED required. Six months’ medical office experience required. Must possess PC proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and eClinical. Strong data entry skills. Strong customer service skills. Good command of the English language, both verbal and written. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others. Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables. Ability to effectively give and receive information from patients, providers and other ASPC employees.
