Job description

The Front Office Coordinator works as part of a team fulfilling administrative responsibilities while advocating on behalf of patients. Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and creating a welcoming environment is critical. This pivotal role manages the flow of patients and communications within the office. This is a clinic-based position located in the Midtown area of Atlanta, GA (2140 Peachtree Road). General work hours are Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM

About the Role:

  1. Creates a welcoming environment by greeting patients and visitors
  2. Manages patient check-in and check-out processes
  3. Scheduling appointments for multiple providers
  4. Process insurance verifications (utilizing Waystar and other payer sites as needed)
  5. Explain and thoroughly communicates insurance benefits to patients
  6. Assess/updates patient demographics and insurance information as needed
  7. Handles inquiries regarding patient financial concerns
  8. Additional responsibilities assigned as needed

About You:

  1. High school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree or higher preferred, especially in a health-related field
  2. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
  3. Two years' experience in a healthcare front office position required
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality
  6. Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  7. Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  8. MS Office computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm
  9. Ability to adapt to EMR functionality
  10. Experience in eClinical Works strongly preferred
  11. Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, have excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service
