Job summary

The Elser Hotel & Residences, part of Highgate Hotels, in Downtown Miami seeks an Assistant Director Front Office to supervise Guest Services and Concierge, delivering warm, efficient service while maximizing occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• Progressive hotel or related field experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows, spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guests' requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents at the Front Desk or reservations channels with courtesy and efficiency.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline Guest Services staff per SOPs.
• Conduct Guest Services interviews and follow hiring procedures per SOPs.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Guest Services personnel.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily and monitoring rate variance.
• Attend daily and monthly Rooms Merchandizing meetings.
• Participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled.
• Prepare staff schedules according to forecast and budgets.
• Ensure cash handling aligns with SOPs and billing accuracy.
• Maintain SOPs for purchasing, invoicing and accounting.
• Coordinate all aspects of service delivery with other departments.
