Target is hiring a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members, and merchandise at our store. You will engage with customers, monitor store security, and respond to incidents using video surveillance and escalation tools.

This role involves physical security duties, memorable guest service, and a commitment to safety and compliance. The position requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensing or legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills with multiple devices.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests and team members at the front of store.
• Maintain a safe and secure store environment, including exterior property.
• Respond to and document security incidents accurately.
• Use escalation tools to resolve guest issues while ensuring safety.
• Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed.
• Prevent theft by performing receipt checks on high-dollar merchandise.
• Document all incidents in the system per AP policies.
• Operate video surveillance and other security systems.
• Model safe work practices and maintain a clean store for guests and staff.
• Provide a service and shopping experience that meets guest needs.
