Job summary

Inspiration Brewing in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a hands-on Front of House Manager to lead our launch. You will own the dining room and bar setup, recruit and train staff, and ensure smooth service as we move toward grand opening.

During pre-opening, you’ll configure layouts, build Toast POS, and align FOH with kitchen workflows. Post-launch, you’ll manage floor operations and events to boost guest loyalty.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of management or supervisory experience in a full-service, seated dining restaurant or brewpub with high food volume.
• Ready to start ASAP on a live build-out site.
• Hands-on startup attitude and ability to work physical setup + operational planning.
• Experience setting up or managing modern full-service restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred).
• Passion for warm, authentic hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Own the dining room and bar setup during pre-opening: finalize layouts, server station staging, glassware inventory, and decor.
• Build out the Toast POS: table mapping, course timing, modifier groups, seat numbers, and handheld devices.
• Recruit and train servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers; train on timing, service standards, beer pairings, and hospitality.
• Synchronize FOH/BOH: design kitchen expo workflows, line sweep procedures, and table turnover timing.
• Post-launch: manage floor operations, guest greeting, flow between kitchen and dining room, and staff coaching.
• Drive community engagement, coordinate taproom events, and support local promotions.

About Inspiration Brewing

Inspiration Brewing is putting the finishing touches on our new Irish-inspired craft brewpub in Elizabethtown. We are about 75% complete with our buildout and gearing up for our grand opening. In traditional Irish pub culture, the public house is the living room of the community—a cozy, welcoming gathering place built on great beer, hearty dining, and genuine hospitality (Céad Míle Fáilte).

As a full-service restaurant and craft taproom, we are looking for a hands-on, high-energy Front of House Manager to step onto the site immediately, take ownership of our dining room and bar setup, and lead us across the finish line into launch.

What You’ll Be Doing Right Away (Pre-Opening Phase)

• Dining Room & Station Setup: Work alongside ownership to finalize table layouts, server station staging, glassware/flatware inventory, and dining room decor.
• Full-Service POS Buildout: Configure table mapping, course timing, modifier groups, seat numbers, and server handhelds on our Toast POS system.
• Team Recruitment & Full-Service Training: Fast-track hiring for servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers. Train staff on multi-course timing, table-side service standards, craft beer pairings, and warm pub hospitality.
• FOH/BOH Service Synchronization: Partner with our Executive Chef to design kitchen expo workflows, line sweep procedures, and table turnover timing.

What You’ll Do Post-Launch

• Own the Floor: Act as the main host and floor manager during peak meal services—managing table turns, supporting the server team, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth kitchen-to-table flow.
• Team Leadership: Manage scheduling, daily pre-shift lineup meetings, continuous staff coaching, and FOH labor targets.
• Community & Events: Drive local guest loyalty, assist with social media teasers, and coordinate taproom events (live music, trivia nights, mug club).

What We’re Looking For

• Full-Service Experience: 1+ years of management or supervisory experience in a full-service, seated dining restaurant or brewpub with high food volume.
• Immediate Availability: Ready to start ASAP and hit the ground running on a live build-out site.
• Hands-On Startup Grit: Thrilled by the challenge of opening a new venue; ready to do physical setup work alongside operational planning.
• Tech Proficiency: Direct experience setting up or managing modern full-service restaurant POS systems (Toast experience preferred).
• Warm Hospitality Focus: Passionate about creating an authentic, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at home.
