Job summary

Silas in Versailles, OH, seeks a Front of House Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional hospitality and seamless service. You will own staffing, scheduling, payroll, onboarding, and guest experiences on the dining floor.

You will coach and develop team members, coordinate with culinary and bar teams, and drive service standards across events and dining periods. The role emphasizes leadership and profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily front-of-house operations for Silas, ensuring hospitality, efficient service, and execution of standards.
• Own dinner service execution by conducting pre-shift meetings, managing floor plans, station assignments, pacing, and guest recovery.
• Develop and manage front-of-house schedules based on business volume, events, and staffing needs.
• Manage front-of-house payroll and timekeeping, including payroll review and shift changes.
• Lead onboarding, training, and development of front-of-house team members with focus on service, menu knowledge, POS, and reservations.
• Coach and develop team members with feedback, performance coaching, and collaboration with HR for hiring and evaluations.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with a visible floor presence, table touches, reservations, and memorable experiences.
• Maintain front-of-house cleanliness, organization, ambiance, safety, and readiness of guest areas.
• Coordinate daily operations with culinary, bar, hotel, banquet, marketing, and leadership teams for a seamless guest experience.
• Lead front-of-house for private events and specials, coordinating staffing and beverage execution with Bar Lead.
• Oversee labor costs, expenses, productivity, and revenue; review metrics to improve profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Partner with Bar Lead on beverage education while respecting ownership of cocktail development and inventory.
• Assist planning of new service initiatives and hospitality programming.
