Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Yardley, PA, is seeking a friendly Host who will be the first and last impression of our restaurant. You handle greeting guests, opening doors, guiding them to tables, and communicating expectations with warmth and care.

You will manage OpenTable reservations, maintain a inviting host stand, and support the dining room by bussing and resetting tables while collaborating with the Front of House team for a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• 18+ age requirement for FOH positions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Guest-oriented mindset and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by clearing and resetting tables (bussing) as needed to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
