Job summary

Just Smokin' Barbecue in Wisconsin is seeking dependable team members for a fast-paced counter-service restaurant. You’ll take orders, process payments with Toast POS, assemble and bag items, and keep the line and dining area clean throughout your shift.

Evenings and weekends are required, with opportunities to assist at catering events and our food truck. Prior restaurant experience is helpful, but we train the right person in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Join the Just Smokin' Barbecue Team!

Just Smokin' Barbecue is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team. We're a fast-paced, counter-service BBQ restaurant where everyone pitches in to keep things running smoothly.

This is a hands-on position with a variety of responsibilities. During your shift, you'll assist customers, take and complete orders, help with basic food prep, and keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and ready for service.

Responsibilities Include:

• Taking customer orders and processing payments using Toast POS
• Assembling, double-checking, and bagging orders
• Running food, cleaning tables, and assisting customers
• Restocking sauces, supplies, and serving line items
• Assisting with basic food prep and serving line duties
• Washing dishes and maintaining clean work areas
• Completing opening, closing, and general cleaning duties
• Helping teammates wherever needed throughout the shift
• Opportunities to assist with catering events and our food truck

What We're Looking For:

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
• Friendly with good customer service skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to clean, do dishes, and help with all aspects of restaurant operations
• Able to work well with a small team
• Consistent availability, including some evenings and weekends

Previous restaurant experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person.

Scheduling: Our restaurant closes at 8:00 PM, with closing shifts continuing afterward for cleaning and shutdown duties. Additional hours may be available through catering events and food truck opportunities.
