Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks on multiple residential and commercial routes, removing and transporting waste or recyclables under contract terms. You will service various customers daily, and transfer loads to appropriate facilities.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL (or CDL school certificate) and have 1+ year of commercial driving experience. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, log routes, and interact professionally with customers

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Minimum one year of commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
Ability to safely drive and operate the truck and equipment.

Responsibilities

Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transfer to facilities
Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and roll cans into position for dumping
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports
Interact courteously with customers and the public and report issues to management
Maintain cleanliness around the truck and site after dumping activities
Maintain logs and route/productivity sheets as required
Maneuver the truck into/out of tight spaces using mirrors
Use a map and GPS to locate service addresses
Follow all safety standards and company safety policies
Perform additional duties as assigned
