Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring at San Carlos, CA to support Loss Prevention and store safety. The role involves standing at the front of the store, acting as a visual deterrent, and following the Store Emergency Response Guide while wearing a Body Worn Camera.

You will greet customers, refer questions to management, report suspicious activity, and help ensure a positive shopping experience while upholding company policies and values. Starting hourly pay is posted for this position.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0-2 years retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss or dishonesty.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
• Wear a Company uniform and Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Position yourself at the front of the store or in a department.
• Refer customers to management or customer service via the radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform closing safety sweeps with a manager.
• Document incidents in AIIM Case Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
