Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention team member to support store management by acting as a visual deterrent and wearing a body worn camera.

You will help protect the store, customer experience, and brand by following policies and procedures and collaborating with store teams and LP. Responsibilities include staying at the front of the store or in departments, assisting customers, reporting incidents, and participating in safety sweeps with management.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Sound decision making skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Prioritizes and organizes workload, manages time effectively.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0–2 years retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss/dishonesty.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
• Wear a complete Company approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers, demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Position yourself at the front of the store or in a department.
• Refer customers to store management or customer service via radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a manager.
• Document incidents in AIIM Case Management.
