Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Loss Prevention team member to deter theft, monitor store activity, and wear a body worn camera. You will support store management and safety while safeguarding the TJX brand.

You will greet customers, stand at the front of the store, report suspicious behavior, perform safety sweeps, and partner with LP and management. Prior retail or security experience is valued, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Prioritizes and organizes workload; manages time effectively.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Retail or security experience is a plus (0–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper, professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss/dishonesty.
• Review Store Emergency Response Guide.
• Wear a Company-approved uniform including a Body War Camera.
• Greet customers, show courtesy and respect.
• Respond to customer requests via store management or radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior to LP or management.
• Perform closing safety sweeps with management.
