Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana seeks an Asset Protection team member to deter theft and keep customers safe by engaging with shoppers at entry, exit and throughout the store.

You will identify unsafe conditions, respond to alerts, verify receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, de‑escalate conflicts, and document incidents with clear written and verbal communication. This role requires physical endurance, ability to move through the store for long periods, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service or asset protection experience.
• Clear and professional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to move throughout the work area for long periods.
• Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations.
• Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts and recover unpaid merchandise.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents.
