Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Cashier to provide fast, friendly service and to process transactions accurately, including ID checks and loyalty promotions. This role may also function as a sales associate or merchandiser depending on store needs.

You will greet customers, build relationships, and learn product knowledge across wine, spirits and beer. A high school diploma and 1–3 years in retail are preferred, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store
• Ensure adherence to all laws and regulations related to sale of alcohol and a safe store environment
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned
