Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Team Leader to guide department associates in merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and customer service while ensuring a positive shopping experience.

In this role you will direct daily activities, assist in staffing and training, and coordinate events and promotions. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential to drive sales and maintain brand standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
• Ability to read and analyze certain reports.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Corporate Staff

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to department associates and staff scheduling.
• Maintain plan-o-grams, pricing, and UPC integrity; execute merchandising directives.
• Staff department with service-oriented associates, interview and participate in selection, training.
• Coach and motivate to ensure high customer service and productivity.
• Assist with special events and inventory control; resolve customer issues with GSM/DM and HR.
• All other duties as assigned
