Job summary

Martin's Super Markets in South Bend, IN is seeking an associate to support store front-end operations, supervise in absence of the Customer Service Manager, and handle transactions and guest needs with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will train teammates, manage scheduling, maintain a clean, well-stocked department, follow safety and guest-experience guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with email and spreadsheets.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Accounting/bookkeeping skills.
• Interpret/Analyze financials.
• Develop/Manage budgets.
• Delegate/Direct/Implement.
• Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform all transactions; cash, checks, cards, IDs, refunds and other media per policies.
• Ensure prompt handling of return-to-stock items, especially perishables.
• Knowledgeable of product locations and store features.
• Train others to perform department activities and functions.
• Manage selection, scheduling, and supervision to meet productivity goals.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, well stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety, and cleaning expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
