Job summary

Total Wine & More in Reno, NV is seeking a Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service at the register. You will handle transactions, answer questions, promote loyalty, and help customers find products, with potential assignments as a sales associate or merchandiser.

You will report to store management and join a team focused on hospitality and accuracy. The role requires flexibility for evenings/weekends, a high school diploma, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging products.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to laws related to sale of alcohol and a safe, compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
