Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Front End Runner (Grade A) to deliver a great customer experience through accurate scanning, pricing and bagging, and proper payment handling. This role emphasizes friendly service, efficiency, and adherence to safety and company policies.

The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures while maintaining cash integrity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and ingredients.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information for eligibility in company programs.
• Be knowledgeable about products carried in the store.
• Sort and return items to proper locations; handle damaged merchandise per procedures.
• Perform price checks and issue rain checks when needed.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Promote current promotions and Loyalty/Price Plus programs.
• Ensure proper cash handling and security of tills.
• Follow company policies on dress code, time/attendance, and safety procedures.
