Job summary

ShopRite of Bound Brook is seeking a Front End Runner to deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience with accurate scanning, pricing and bagging of products. You will handle payments, operate the register, assist customers, stock and maintain a clean and safe front-end area in accordance with company policies.

The role requires good English communication, basic math, the ability to stand for long shifts, and the physical capability to lift 25 lbs regularly.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter customer information into the database for eligibility in programs.
• Scan, price, bag products, and handle payments with accuracy.
• Issue refunds and manage price-related tasks per policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized front-end area.
• Operate the cash register and monitor cash control.
• Support other departments and adapt to daily business needs.
