Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service and support cashier and front-end operations. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized front end area.

The role requires effective communication, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy retail environment. Training will cover cash handling, register procedures, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and use their name when possible.
• Maintain neat and clean work station and front end area.
• Handle cash, deposits, and accounting procedures accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of office procedures and cash reports.
• Support store operations and assist as needed per surge plan.
