Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and support Customer Service standards. You will greet customers, assist with bagging, handle transactions, and help with To-Go orders when needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean front-end areas, following cash-handling procedures, and supporting store operations as directed by the CSM/ACSM. This role requires good communication and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Follow bagging procedures for bag types.
• Scan orders and handle payments per standard practice.
• Assist customers with Food Lion To-Go orders when applicable.
• Maintain neat and clean front-end areas and stations.
• Report register malfunctions to the Customer Service Manager or MOD.
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is maintained and functioning.
• Perform the task of cashier when scheduled or as needed per surge plans.
• Maintain safe and compliant cash handling procedures.
