Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations, ensuring a high-quality customer shopping experience. You’ll coordinate checkout flow, supervise cashiers and service desk, and drive front-end performance through coaching and task assignment.

The role includes training responsibilities, engaging in community programs, and serving as SME for company pilots and development programs. Weekend shifts are required and schedules run 6 AM–10 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team).
• Able to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication, customer-oriented approach, organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate checkout flow to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Lead and support front-end operations including service desk and cashiers.
• Coach team members and monitor labor utilization for efficiency.
• Promote participation in community programs and engagement initiatives.
• Train and mentor team members on the job and through formal sessions.
• Serve as SME for market programs, pilots, and training initiatives.
• Assign tasks in partnership with the team leader and track completion.
