Job summary

Food Lion is looking for a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service and support Customer Service Managers in maintaining standards. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help manage checkout and bagging while upholding food-safety and store policies.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, teamwork with store staff, and maintaining a clean, efficient front-end area during shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group cold items for bagging.
• Follow correct bagging procedures and handle cash transactions per policy.
• Follow procedures for refunds, discounts and overrides.
• Maintain neat, clean front-end area and stock as needed.
