Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to provide an exceptional shopping experience at the front line, greeting customers and assisting with their needs. You will support cashiers during complex transactions and help ensure smooth register coverage.

Additionally, you will assist with department scheduling, monitor presentation standards, and promote loyalty programs. Creating an inclusive, safe, and respectful store environment is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers and understand their needs to enhance the shopping experience.
• Serve as primary front-end customer service provider and liaison with management.
• Provide register coverage as needed and support cashiers during complex transactions.
• Assist management with scheduling, directing workflow, and daily assignments.
• Uphold merchandising standards including floor sets, signage, pricing and replenishment.
• Promote training on programs like loyalty, warranty sales, and private label card enrollment.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team with an all-hands-on-deck approach and perform other tasks as needed.
