Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, is hiring a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support the closed-door pharmacy. You will perform order entry, collaborate with the pharmacist for accuracy, and deliver strong customer service in a specialized long-term care setting.

Required: active pharmacy technician certification/licensure and 1+ year of experience; HS diploma or GED. Preferred: experience in long-term care. Compensation ranges with comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information required.
• Calculating and verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Reviewing narcotic Rx’s to ensure timely return to the system.
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information on allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications flagged by the computer.
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
