Job summary

Omnicare is seeking a Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a 24-hour, closed-door pharmacy serving skilled nursing facilities and long-term care settings. You will process orders, support the pharmacist, and ensure accurate patient records in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications include state-registered pharmacy technician credentials and 1+ year of experience. Preferred: LTC experience and PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify prescription orders in the dispensing workflow.
• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx to ensure timely processing.
• Provide pharmacists with information on allergies and drug interactions, and other flagged items.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records.
