Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, is seeking a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support our closed-door pharmacy and partner with pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing and exceptional customer service.

This full-time role requires a current pharmacy technician certification and at least one year of experience; you will triage requests, verify dosages, review narcotics records, and maintain accurate patient records while delivering compassionate care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
• Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timely processing
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies, drug interactions and other flags
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records

Skills

Pharmacy technician certification

Experience: 1+ year as pharmacy tech
